Cancellation & Refund Policy

We know plans change. Each home lists its own cancellation policy, shown on the listing and again at checkout. This page explains how those policies work and how refunds are handled by The Nauru Apartments.

Cancellation tiers

Every listing uses one of the following policies:

  • Flexible (30 days) โ€” cancel up to 30 days before check-in for a full refund. After that, the first night is non-refundable and any remaining nights are refunded.
  • Standard (14 days) โ€” cancel up to 14 days before check-in for a full refund, less the service fee. Within 14 days, 50% of the accommodation total is refunded.
  • Moderate (7 days) โ€” cancel up to 7 days before check-in for a 50% refund of the accommodation total. Within 7 days, the booking is non-refundable.
  • Non-refundable โ€” the booking cannot be refunded, but you may reschedule once, subject to availability, up to 48 hours before check-in.

Fees

Cleaning fees are always refunded in full if you cancel before check-in. The service fee is non-refundable except where noted above or where required by law. Taxes are refunded in proportion to any refunded amount.

How to cancel

To cancel or change a booking, email reservations@thenauruapartments.agency or call +674 557 3300 with your confirmation code. The applicable refund is calculated from the time we receive your request.

Refund timing

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, typically within 5โ€“10 business days depending on your bank.

Exceptional circumstances

If your stay is disrupted by an event on our side โ€” for example a property becoming unavailable โ€” we will first offer a comparable alternative home, and if none is suitable, a full refund. Where travel to Nauru is prevented by government restrictions or airline cancellations outside your control, we will work with you in good faith to reschedule or refund.
