About us
Hosting Nauru, one home at a time
The Nauru Apartments began in 2016 with a single refurbished apartment above a family shop in Aiwo. Travellers arriving in Nauru — consultants, regional officials, engineers, and the occasional adventurous tourist — kept asking the same question: where can I actually stay? Beyond a couple of tired hotel blocks, the answer was usually “nowhere.” We decided to change that.
Today we manage 45 homes across 8 districts of the island, from beachfront villas on Anibare Bay to quiet studios near the harbour in Aiwo and garden retreats beside Buada Lagoon. Every property is owned by a Nauruan family or landlord and looked after by our small island-based team.
We are not a global platform and we do not want to be. We keep things simple: honest photos, clear pricing with cleaning and taxes shown up front, and a real person you can call when you land. When you book direct with us, more of what you pay stays with the local families who own these homes.

Why Nauru
At 21 square kilometres, Nauru is one of the smallest nations on earth — a coral island in the Central Pacific ringed by a single road. It is a place of frigatebirds and reef flats, of Anibare’s white sand and the still, freshwater mirror of Buada Lagoon inland. It rewards the curious. We think the best way to experience it is to stay somewhere that feels like a home rather than a lobby.
